⛴Vashon Island⚓️🌿

Back in June when we went out to the Pacific North West, we were able to stay at an old family home on Vashon Island, which is across the Puget Sound from Seattle.

We had an amazing time…the weather was perfect, the water was freezing, and everything just all around beautiful.

The island itself is so lush and green.

The beaches are treasure troves for rocks, shells, and driftwood

We were able to stay there with my brother, so that was fun to be able to spend time with him….he’s the only one of us who actually swam!

Enjoying time with Uncle Andy on the ferry boat.

Wes enjoyed riding out in the boat, the paddle board, and having Wil row him in the boat!

Wil enjoyed the ferry and beach combing with me…we could stay out there for hours finding treasure

Skye loved the island and has already said she misses it; she liked exploring, boating, and shopping in the little town

Dave could have stayed for days and been happy! He liked the paddle board as well and he loved driving around the curvy roads looking at the houses tucked into the trees and vegetation.

How do I even narrow down what I enjoyed about Vashon? Looking for pretty rocks was my number one pastime! So many collections!! I stuffed a lot of rocks in my suitcase…we could only bring back a suitcase weighing 50 pounds or less…mine weighed 49.5 lbs!!!

I loved the sunsets and the old house details, I enjoyed the drive to town and the little shops, the thrift store was the best hands down. I loved the family time and seeing my people so happy in nature.

Hopefully we will be back one day soon. As Skye says, “this island is magical” 💕🌿⚓️⛴

My Dad grew up spending his summers here and I know it was a magical time for him as well. So glad we were able to make the trip ♥️
