I’ve always wanted to try calligraphy! I have a very early memory (I was younger than 7) of my mom leaving at some point to take a calligraphy class. (Why is that important? I don’t know all the psychology behind it but I think I need to do everything my mom does 🙂 ) (except eat cooked spinach…I can’t do that unless it’s in a dip) (and she would argue, drink tea…)
Anyway! when I checked out this book from the library, I decided I needed to try it rather than just read about it…
turns out…
I love it!
It seems so romantic, and when you practice you just feel compelled to write your husband’s name and monogram a hundred times and also,
His middle name. Ws are the most fun to write with calligraphy
Have you tried it? Do you like it?
And finally – full disclosure here….we got home from getting groceries, library, and the trip to Michaels where I bought the calligraphy pen, and this happened:
I couldn’t quite finish putting groceries, lunch, books away- I HAD to try out the calligraphy pen – and then practiced for too long/ so there was a scramble to get supper on the table. BUT! It was worth the mess 🙂
You are the perfect one to do calligraphy, because you do such neat writing already! 💕
