How to Cope (during these crazy times!) just 14 easy steps 🤣🤪😊

1) get outside

The weather here has been gorgeous…the trees and flowers are starting to bloom. It’s been nice to get out and walk. The fresh air!!! The birds singing!! You can pretend all is back to normal for a few minutes!

2) phone a friend

This has been a game changer for me!! It’s so weird to have everything be cancelled; church, kids’ activities, appointments, commitments, art classes. I’ve found it has helped SOOO much to make myself pick up the phone and call my friends and family. I love my immediate family, and we’ve seen a lot of each other these past few weeks, but it sure is nice to talk to other people 😉 And we need to stay connected! And aware of what everyone else is going through.

3) eat candy 😉

If Now Laters and Starburst got together and had a baby, it’s name would be Mamba. The flavor and chewiness is perfection

4) read a good book

Here’s the list of books I’ve read so far this year:

5) read scripture!

Can’t really stress this enough! Preaching to myself here. The psalms have been especially sweet and encouraging. We’ve also been reading through Romans as a family. Skye and I are (trying) to memorize I Corinthians 13 and Psalm 27

6) bake a cake

This homemade fondant recipe is amazing, surprisingly simple, and a game changer.

7) eat the cake

8) create some art

9) make something healthy

Found This recipe from my friend Jacq….it’s so fun to use a spiralizer!

10) pray! And then pray with someone.

Prayer is the act of you trusting in God and taking everything to Him. It’s powerful and changes your outlook on life, getting you back to what’s important and your focus on God.

11) shop Etsy

I found some amazing artists on Etsy! Here is Once Again Sam who does gorgeous felting, makes jewelry, and a bunch of other creative works

Another great Etsy artist, Hooked and Hung, makes the most adorable crochet cacti!

12) hug a dog

13) make cookies (to use up leftover icing from cake!) a simple shortbread recipe is so hard to beat

14) go on a lunch date with your person and eat in the car

Love and hugs from the Mincy fam❤️💗♥️
