Remembering 2020, April through July

April brought gorgeous spring weather, Easter, and lots of Sunday sweets. I think we were pretty consistent about having a special dessert on Sundays, and that’s something I’d like to get back to.

Some work in the yard, multiple trips to the park.

And the Morrises got a puppy!! Such a sweet dog, a cavipoo

Skye finished up school on zoom and had mock trial over zoom as well

This is what church looked like; no more than 10 people in the building. We watched church on YouTube.

The kids got used to wearing masks at work, and Wil playing cello for online church

Started work on the upstairs mural wall, Sadie as an Easter bunny :), and making cards!

May brought Mother’s Day, which was so sweet…we went to Yates Mill park for a hike, ate Smithfield’s BBQ, and enjoyed the day

Creative pursuits; redecorated the porch, put “stained glass” in the upstairs windows (electrical tape and tissue paper), painted some tiny wooden drawers, and made strawberry jam.🍓

June was art camp! I had 2 weeks of art camp. With a small number of kids. It was so so fun!!

Wil bought a new car!

The studio is done!! New floors, popcorn removed from ceiling, whole room painted white…all my dreams have come true!

Father’s Day! We are all So thankful for this sweet man!

Also, skye got contacts!

FaceTimed Dad for Father’s Day ❤️

The upstairs hallway mural is coming along…

Dave and I go to Charlotte for my birthday…we had such a great time shopping and relaxing together.

We visited ikea and got our new chairs for the living room.

This college boy (man?!) took me out for smoothies for my birthday!

Fourth of July! Cake! Fireworks!

Our little getaway to lake Gaston with the fam!!

Dave and I trying fondue for the first time for our 21st anniversary

More needle felting…

Such great memories. Thankful for the beauty amidst a tough year.
