Our New Bathroom (eek!)🌿🛁 before and after

You know we’ve been working on this for awhile…we had help from a great company Elite Home Renovations . Danny did a great job and I highly recommend him for you local friends. He was meticulous with the tile and just totally understood what we wanted and did a great job!

Here’s a few before pictures to remind you how awful it was in there!

The linoleum ! The weird painted flowers….the crumbling mirror and outdated lighting

So bad and confused…

So you have an idea of what we were working with, right?! Are you ready for the reveal???

I’m so excited…

Drum roll …

Pretty different, right??? I’m so happy with how it turned out! I still have to paint the vanity cabinet. So I’ll show how that turns out hopefully this week.

We bought a lot of the supplies and fixtures at Lowe’s (toilet, towel hooks for wall …can you see them, they’re black….faucet, shower fixtures, shelves, mirror, lights, tile) the rug is from target. The small mirrors are from TJmaxx, the art I mentioned here and the parakeet is from Target.

My favorite is the contrast of the black paint with the tile…then the black grout to set it off!!! I just want to live in this bathroom- haha!! I’m so thankful it turned out how I was hoping.

Now for the vanity cabinet….Please take my informal poll and tell me what color I should paint it??

Light moss green

Dull burnt orange

Other???

I’m going to my fave, Bexley House to get the Dixie Belle chalk paint. I’m excited to try it.

What a difference the tile makes ! The tub is from build.com.

The quartz countertop and rectangle sink with black faucet…I love black, can you tell???!!

The shower curtain is from Anthropologie.

The plants (fake because otherwise they die in my house) are from TJMaxx

The floor is leftover from the art studio upstairs (Lowe’s)

Here you can kinda see the black towel hooks.

Old art scrounged from around the house

Greenery from the Bexley House

Thank you for taking this long journey with me. Excuse me while I go sit in my new bathroom 😉 thank you to Danny and Rick for such a great job!!

Don’t forget to give me your vote on vanity colors.

Love it, Sara! I wasn’t sure about the black, but it works. It will be even better when you paint the vanity. My vote is for GREEN. I’m so glad you are using chalk paint. I love it. For my latest project, I bought it at Home Depot since our TWO Annie Sloan places went out of business (before the gov lockdown which ruined so many,) The Home Depot paint is great. I’m glad you told us the pic where the hooks were. I was wondering. Can’t wait to see it in person! Aww Sar, the flowers WERE cute…in their day.😆🌸🌼

Light green! (The same light green-sage? that is on the shower curtain). I really enjoy your style. I have been “following” you since I found your house tour years after on Sarah’s art house.

It’s beautiful! Love EVERYTHING about this room. Would have never thought to use black grout, but it turned out so great. The green is a great choice for the vanity. Now you just need a recliner in there so you can sit and enjoy it in a comfy way.
